Our graphics are the epitome of accurate and compelling communications. Our graphics goal is to communicate the true essence of a project.

Our graphic philosophy is based on our belief that most people cannot read and fully understand plans. They cannot visualize what a project will look like from viewing these flat, two-dimensional depictions. Yet plans are the mainstay of communicating the arrangement and relationships of development on the land. We have created our own style of illustration that makes plans understandable, by rendering them as though they were photographs and by adding a third dimension through shading and shadows. Photo-realistic trees, plants and textures are use in the renderings.

Likewise, people like to see sketches and perspective drawings of elements of a project, yet they often have difficulty in fully visualizing the results or believing that the place will actually look like the artist’s rendering. PDS uses our style of photo-realistic simulation or photo-montage to create accurate, understandable and believable images. Each rendering is composed of many images supplementing photo-realistic drawings of project elements. Over the years we have created a library of thousands of images of plant materials, textures, vehicles, people and objects. We create new images as necessary for a specific project.

PDS West created this unique graphics style to communicate an understanding of our planning and design projects. Due to many requests, we are now offering graphic rendering and photo-realistic simulations as a separate service, to jurisdictions, agencies, developers and consultants.
