Bob Lacoss has over 32 years of hands-on experience as a land planner, recreation planner, urban planner and landscape architect. He has received awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS), for his park and recreation work, the American Planning Association (APA) for his urban planning work, and the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) for his master planned community work. Mr. Lacoss' firm, PDS WEST evolved from Planning and Design Solutions, which Mr. Lacoss co-founded in 1989. He has planned over 30 large-scale planned communities including 10 golf course communities. Bob was also author of many revitalization plans and design guidelines such as Vista Santa Rosa Design Guidelines, the award-winning Mission San Luis Rey Historic District Development Program and Design Guidelines and the San Fernando Central Core Revitalization Plan. Mr. Lacoss has personally designed or planned over 20 large parks, dozens of schools and a college campus.
